One of the best-known athiests in the world died Thursday. British-born Christopher Hitchens went to meet his maker after passing away from pneumonia in Houston, Texas. The pneumonia was a complication of cancer of the esophagus. Hitchens, just 62, was the author of 25 books, and was known for his biting humor. He frequently went head to head with Christians on national talk shows. One of his more famous quotes was ""I am absolutely convinced that the main source of hatred in the world is religion, and organized religion."

There were tens of thousands praying for his salvation, but only One knows where his heart was at on his deathbed.
