Archaeologists Unearth Philistine Artifacts

The excavation season began this past week, with 100 diggers from Canada, South Korea, the United States going through the remains the remains of an ancient metropolis in southern Israel known as "Gath"-- the same city where Goliath came from. They've already unearthed 3,000 year old pots, and learned the Phillistines ate pigs and dogs, animals the Jewish people still believe to be unclear. One intriguing find is the remains of a large structure, possibly a temple, with two pillars. Archaeologists have suggested that this might have been the exact same Phillistine design as the temple destroyed by Samson.
