Apple Stock Takes Mysterious Tumble

(New York, NY)  --  Stock traders are trying to figure out what happened to cause a crash in Apple stock on Thursday.  Fortune.com reports the stock was cruising near an all time high of 360 dollars a share through the morning.  Suddenly, about one p.m. Eastern time the price started to fall and within the hour ten-billion dollars was removed from Apple's value.

Wall Streeters are saying there was no news to cause the drop although there was a rumor Apple head Steve Jobs was hospitalized again.  Trading charts show abnormal selling that some say was similar to the so-called Flash Crash of May 6th, 2010.  That event rocked the entire Street, in this case it was all about Apple.  By the end of the trading day the stock had started to recover.
