Another 30 Thousand More Gas Drilling Jobs May Be Coming To Pennsylvania

 Despite debate over the number of jobs created by the gas industry, Penn College in Williamsport is predicting the need for a possible 30,000 new positions between now and 2014. The Marcellus Shale Education and Training Center recently released an impact study on expected growth over the next few years. As long as they know the number of wells to be drilled over a period of time, the number of jobs can be forecast. Projections indicate there will be a nearly 60-percent increase in activity-- by 2014-- and more activity means more jobs.
