Al Qaedas Zawahri Urges Jihad In Pakistan

(Dubai) -- The second-in-command of al-Qaeda has called for jihad in Pakistan. In a videotape address called "Path of Doom," posted on an al-Qaeda-linked website from Ayman al-Zawahri, Pakistanis are urged to join in a jihad to battle what he says is a crusade by the U.S. to turn the country into a divided nation.
Zawahri says the war in the tribal areas and Swat is an integral part of the global crusade on Muslims. The Pakistani army has been on the offensive against insurgency by the Taliban in Swat valley. Zawahri urges Pakistanis to support the jihad with their wealth, expertise, information and prayers.
