Anyone hoping to take a trip by plane between now and mid-November can save money by acting fast. Multiple airlines are having a two-day airfare sale that requires tickets be purchased by midnight Thursday. "USA Today" says Tom Parsons, founder of the website, says for travelers this sale is like Christmas coming in March. United, American and AirTran are among the airlines offering the discounted airfares.

Parsons says the sale airfares require a ten-day advance purchase and are mostly for flights that involve making a stop or connection. However, he also says some of the deals can cut the price of flying coast-to-coast in half. The discounted airfares allow for travel every day of the week except Fridays and Sundays.
