9 11 Memorial Coming To 30 Locations For September
08.11.11 |
If you can't make it to New York City for the 10th anniversary of the terror attacks, you have 30 other options. The "New York Remembers" exhibit will be featured at the Clemens Center in Elmira, the Rochester Science Museum, Binghamton University in Vestal, the Rothschild Building at the Ithaca Commons, the Council of the Arts in Norwich, and the Yager Museum of Art and Culture at Hartwick College in Oneonta, and at sites in Syracuse, Auburn, Geneva, and Buffalo. Some of the artifacts you can see are: the trailer used by families visiting ground zero, which includes pictures and messages. There will be damaged emergency vehicles found hidden in the basement of the South Tower after it fell, as well as debris from the towers-- and even symbol steel, created by workers at the site. All locations open either August 29 or September 2nd, and will remain open through the end of September.
