03.20.12 | Sarah Harnisch

Heat records will be broken today in New York and Pennsylvania. There are a number of cities across the listening area that are close to breaking records-- Buffalo, Rochester, Williamsport-- and Binghamton. All are within a degree or two of their highest logged temperature in history. The normal for this time of year is 20's at night at 40's during the day. At the coldest point last night, most towns in the listening area were in the 50's-- some-- even hitting 60 degrees-- and we're supposed to tap 80 during the day today. Dozens of towns have already broken heat records for three consecutive days, some, set in the 1800's. Cooler weather comes this weekend.
