    The U.S. birthrate has fallen below replacement levels, and 41 percent of all births in the United States are now to single mothers. The statistics come from the Population Reference Bureau. The birthrate in the United States has fallen to 2.01 children per woman, which is below the replacement rate of 2.1. Researchers also say for the first time, pregnancies among unmarried women declined, but pregnancies for married women declined even more. It pushed the percentage of all U.S. births to unmarried mothers to 41, an all-time high.
