3 Upstate New York Colleges Make National Gay Friendly List

Three upstate New York colleges have been placed on a national list for being gay-friendly. The University of Rochester, Syracuse University, and Cornell University have been listed on the Princeton Review's national gay friendly campuses. Wheaton College, one of the best-known Christian schools in the world, was listed as the least friendly, making the list the second time in 3 years. Schools are rated by their resources for gay students, and their promotion of tolerance. Wheaton issued a statement last night-- saying "our goal is to follow God's truth, including what the Bible says about sexual ethics. Some may interpret this stance as hostility to the LGBT community, but our aim is to stand respectfully and graciously for biblical truth."
