02.01.13 | Sarah Harnisch

Lake effect snow continues for western Pennsylvania and western New York. Folks in southern Erie, Wyoming, Chautauqua, and Alleghany counties are seeing as much as 10 to 20 inches of snow by tonight. Orleans county is getting 4 to 8 inches. The good news though is that the winds have died down. We do have some wind reports from Thursday: Alleghany County clocked 48 mile an hour gusts at the Wellsville airport. The winds were 59 miles an hour at Dunkirk Airport in Chautauqua County, 63 miles per hour in Dunkirk, 60 miles an hour in Buffalo, and 59 and 51 miles an hour in Rochester and Niagara Falls.
