There are 2 five o'clocks?

There are two five o’clocks in a day?!
As you can tell, I got an early start to the day. I am finally, totally awake and getting jazzed up listening to Brooklyn Tab’s version of “United in Jesus Christ”… one of the best Sharathon themes EVER. Okay, musical tastes aside – the message of said song is powerful. This is who we really are… the walking, talking, breathing Body of the Living Lord of the Universe Jesus Christ Himself. That’s who you are… who I am. For real. Wow.
I sometimes think we live so far below what God has for us. At least I know I do. I get so slapped around by circumstances that I can’t see any way up and out of them. But that’s not who I am. That’s not who we are. The “we” part is important, you know. God Himself is not just a singular self. God is Father, Son, and Spirit… and the fullness of who He is expressed in relationship. That’s a mystery beyond my understanding – but it speaks to me. It tells me that the fullness of who we are – who we really are is in our relationship with each other in Jesus Christ. We’re not in this alone – we’re not meant to be in this alone. No matter our location, denomination, occupation – we are one body and one faith – a mighty presence of the One Lord of all.
And we need one another.
I sometimes feel so insignificant, so miniscule compared to others. But then God will do something to remind me that each one of us are necessary, and we each bring something to the fibers of Christ’s body that no one else can. I frequently hear y’all say that you don’t know what you’d do without Family Life. Well, we don’t know what we’d do without you. And I don’t mean just financial support (though that keeps us on the air). I mean you – your unique prayers, unexpected encouragements, skills and gifts that you share in volunteering your service. You are the spiritual hands beneath our arms that lets us keep them raised in the heat of the battle. We need each other… and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Talk to ya later…
