Second to the grace and favor of God, Family Life volunteers make this ministry happen. The people who give freely of their time and energy put the backbone in ministry work. We couldn't do what we do without them. Their faces light up other faces. Their hands bring an evening to life. Their mouths help minister in the hallways. And their hearts collectively form the heart of Family Life.
Here's what our volunteers have to say about serving:
There are plenty of places and mountains of ways to volunteer. Fundraisers, dinner events, theater performances, youth events, concerts and more. It's all part of the fun and unordinary experience of serving Christ. The upcoming events are below, so take a look. The best thing to do is pray about where and how you could personally fill a need. Thank you!

Upcoming Events Where Volunteers Are Needed
October 1-3: Fall Sharathon
Family Life's headquarters in Bath will be buzzing with activity for this three-day fundraising event and we need your help! Volunteers come from all over our listening area to be a part of Sharathon. They find out how exciting it is to watch first hand as the Lord provides for His ministry. And you can be a part of it too!
WE NEED PHONE OPERATORS, KITCHEN VOLUNTEERS, 5K VOLUNTEERS AND HELP WITH THE KIDS CARNIVAL.
Phone operators are blessed to take calls from listeners and hear first hand about how God's ministry is impacting lives. For these volunteers, mandatory training starts one hour prior to your first phone shift. Phone operators need to be adults who have good telephone skills, a warm, friendly manner, clear speech, sharp hearing ability, and a working knowledge of Family Life. Phone shifts are generally 3 hours long.
To volunteer as a phone operator, you can sign yourself up for a shift or multiple shifts on VolunteerSpot. Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like. It's Easy - you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on VolunteerSpot. Also, VolunteerSpot does not share your email address with anyone. Click here to go to VolunteerSpot. If you prefer not to use your email address, please email George Sweatt directly and he can sign you up manually.
Kitchen volunteers are always blessed to prepare and serve other volunteers, Family Life staff and those who come to visit the Sharathon. They need to be at least 16 years old. No experience is necessary, just a servant's heart.
To volunteer in the kitchen, email Debbie Fero.
5K Volunteers will be needed to help with traffic control and to cheer the runners on.
To volunteer to help with the 5K race, email Lydia Sweatt.
Kids Carnival volunteers get to watch the faces of children as they play games and enjoy the fun activities provided. Both adults and teens (at least 16 years old) are invited to volunteer in this area on Friday and Saturday.
To volunteer for the carnival you can sign yourself up for a shift or multiple shifts on VolunteerSpot.
October 15 - 18: Ultimate Date Night
For these shows, we will need people to help as ushers/tickets checkers and to sell artist product. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old. All shows are evening shows with the exception of the Bath show which is an afternoon matinee.
Thursday, October 15 - Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church, Williamsville, NY - this need is filled
Friday, October 16 - Tri-County Church, DuBois, PA
Saturday, October 17 - First Baptist Church, Johnson City, NY - the church is recruiting their own volunteers
Sunday, October 18 - Family Life, Bath, NY - only car parkers are needed
To volunteer for any of these, email Debbie Fero.
