Operation Christmas Child

Joy fit for a shoebox

Franklin Graham’s Operation Christmas Child is an international mission’s initiative that gives toys to needy kids around holiday-time. And here’s the fun part. Donators pack the toys in shoe boxes, or similarly sized containers, and deliver the boxes to any number of collection sites located within the FLN listening area.

Once collected and sorted by OCC volunteers, the shoe boxes are shipped and distributed to hurting children around the world. These young ones typically live in countries stricken by war, poverty, famine, disease, or natural disasters. So for many of them, your shoe box will be the first gift of their life.

Anyone interested in donating gift-filled shoe boxes may pack them with small toys, hard candy, school supplies, T-shirts, ball caps, toy jewelry, and other personal items. Giving to this worthy cause means bringing joy and hope to children around the world in desperate situations. Check out our events calendar in December for collection locations nearest you.
