The 4th Annual Good Samaritan Run/Walk is a faith based event that hosts a 5K, a 10K and a Kid Sprint at beautiful Long Branch Park and the West Shore Trail at Onondaga Lake Park in Syracuse. There's something for all ages and levels of walkers and runners. The event begins with the Kid Sprint at 9:30a.m., followed by the 5K and 10K at 10a.m. Festivities continue until about 12pm, with vendors, concessions, Inspirational music, plus prizes and awards for top finishers per age group.
The Good Samaritan Run is inspired by the biblical account of the Good Samaritan. The proceeds from this event, are used by non-profit Christian Health Service of Syracuse in its' mission to provide healthcare to those with little or no insurance. This race being the sole fundraiser for Christian Health Service of Syracuse, is a way you can directly help in a big way, as well as spread the Good News about God's love to our community and those who cross our path.
