Recent news reports of the sexual abuse of children associated with major universities has exposed a horrific crime against our children that goes largely unidentified. It is estimated that there are 60 million survivors of sexual abuse in America today. Many survivors have significant long term effects and most suffer in silence, but there is hope for healing. Come learn how we as the body of Chirst can effectually impact this phenomenon.

• Best statistics indicate that one in three girls and one in five boys are sexually abused.
• 90% of sexual abuse victims never tell.
• Childhood sexual abuse can have serious life long effects.
• 95% of child victims know their abusers

• Identify characteristics of childhood sexual abuse.
• Understand the impact of sexual abuse on the individual, family, and community.
• Identify available resources and treatment.
