Family Life’s Performing Arts Department presents a youth theater production of Anne of Green Gables.  The shows will be held at the Family Life Center in Bath, NY.  Performances begin at 7:00 P. M. on the April 30th, and 2:30 P.M. on May 1 and 2.    Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students, and $4 for kids four years and under.  Group rates are also available. The snack shop will be open.

This youth theatre production is based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel, Anne of Green Gables.  The story opens with two elderly siblings, Matthew and Marilla, whose family farm on Prince Edward Island is getting to be too much for them.  Following their decision to adopt an orphan boy they get the shock of their lives when the orphanage accidentally sends an imaginative and spunky little girl!  Anne (spelled with an “e”) may not be the farm help they set out to get, but by the end of the story there’s no doubt that the three of them were made for each other.  Watch as the characters grow through difficult—though sometimes hilarious—circumstances and by the time the story winds down they have brought more joy to each other’s lives than any of them could have ever imagined!
