The apostle Paul writes that nothing can separate Christ-followers from the love of God.

Romans 839:  No power in the sky above or in the earth below -- indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.  (NLT)

So often the only love you experience in this world is "conditional" love.  Conditional love says, "I love you if . . . ."  God's love is "unconditional".  God says, "I love you, PERIOD."

Do you ever wonder how Middle Eastern Christians have the courage to say "no" to denying Christ as their Lord -- and are martyred by radical Muslims for their stand?  Part of the answer is in this verse!  The worst thing that can happen on this earth is to die for Christ; beyond that it's "absent from the body, present with the Lord."  Nothing can separate us from the love of God!
