The apostle John writes about the joy of heaven.

Revelation 21:4  He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain.  All these things are gone forever.  (NLT)

This is a "go-to" verse for anyone needing encouragement, because you cannot read these words and not feel better!  This is about the beginning of life in heaven for those who have chosen to follow Christ.  This describes the life God intended before Adam and Eve sinned.

Imagine:  no more funerals to plan; no more broken hearts; no more crying.  For those who experience chronic pain . . . imagine a world where that is only a dim memory!  Ray Stedman was a mentor to Chuck Swindoll and he remembers these lines from a song he learned as a young Christ-follower:

There's no disappointment in heaven, No weariness, sorrow nor pain;No hearts that are bleeding and broken,No song with a minor refrain. The clouds of our earthly horizonWill never appear in the sky,For all will be sunshine and gladness, With never a sob or a sigh.
