The apostle Matthew records Jesus' instructions on how to pray.

Matthew 6:10  "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."  (ESV)

Trusting God with your future is a scary business!  On paper, the idea of doing life God's way seems like a no-brainer . . . after all He is all-wise and knows the end from the beginning!  The fact is, we like to be in control . . . we don't want someone or Someone telling us what we can or can't do.

Maybe that's why being a Christ-follower is called putting your faith in Him??  God wired you to be good at certain things and the Bible says He has a customized plan for you to use those gifts.  No one knows what a day will bring, no one knows how long we will live.  At the end of the day, the surest way to live a life of impact is to place your minutes, hours and days into the Lord's hands saying, "Lord, make me, mold me, use me, . . . for Your will."

The shortest prayer I know is only five words long, "Lord, thy will be done. "
