The apostle Peter reminds you that God cares about your anxieties.

I Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (KJV)

The Bible does not mince words: “Be anxious for nothing.” In other words, when anxiety has a grip on you and doesn’t let up, God says “come unto Me all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Don’t waste time worrying about what might happen – when you’ve done what common sense requires – give it to the Lord, because He cares!

I love the Phillips translation of the this verse: “You can throw the whole weight of your anxieties upon Him, for you are His personal concern.” It matters to Him what worries you! Today we can be thankful we have an all-wise, all powerful God who is willing to handle the worries of our life that are too heavy for us to bear.
