The apostle Paul writes to encourage Christ-followers in their ministry to one another.

Ephesians 1:15-16  {Paul wrote] For this reason, ever since I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.  (NIV)

Paul had been a spiritual father to the Ephesian Christians and took his responsibility to them very seriously.  Though in prison, he regularly prayed for them and thanked God for their growth in the faith.  It's no stretch to imagine how Paul's heart was lifted and filled with joy, as he saw the  fruit of his labor going on for the Lord.

Someone said that regular . . . faithful . . .  gratitude for what God has done, creates a greater expectation of it in the future.  God places high value on being thankful.  Thankfulness emboldens you to pray bigger prayers -- to the God for whom nothing is impossible!
