Winter Storm brings snow and cold

01.02.14 | Bob Price

5-to-8 inches of wind-blown snow and bitter cold are settling in on the region.  The National Weather Service says most the accumulation will happen in the central Finger Lakes region and the lake belts.  Some areas near Rochester could get 14 inches by late tonight.  The snow won’t be as big a story as the cold - by this time tomorrow morning - wind chills could bottom out at 25 below zero - making it downright dangerous to be outside for any extended amount of time. We’ll warm back up into the 30’s though by Saturday.
