When Will Gas Drilling Start In NY? Group Speculates...

Shale gas drilling isn't likely to happen in New York State until the end of 2013, at the earliest. That's what the State Association of General Contractors told the press Wednesday. They say the environmental review and new regulations for Shale gas development are likely to be finished by the end of February, but additional obstacles will delay production until late next year, even if Governor Andrew Cuomo gives the green light. The new public comment period starts December 12th, next Wednesday.
