What are the best hospitals in New York and Pennsylvania? Some are right in the Family Life listening area! Corning Hospital was named the 6th best hospital in New York State for overall care, and is in the top 10-percent in the nation for Othopedic and Trauma care. Rochester General Hospital came in at number 2 on the list for Overall Care. Others on the list include: Unity in Rochester, Highland in Rochester, Westfield Memorial, Sisters of Charity in Buffalo, and Arnot Ogden in Elmira. in fact, 9 of the top 18 hospitals in the state weren't in New York City-- they were in upstate New York. In Pennsylvania, Guthrie's Robert Packer Hospital was ranked number one in the state, and was in the top 10-percent nationally for Cardiac Care.
