Wegman's Sued Over Recalled Pine Nuts

A third lawsuit has been filed because of tained pine nuts from Turkey sold in Upstate New York. A Fairport couple is suing Wegmans food markets and the distributor of the nuts, claiming the product severly sickened them. Margaret and John Kretow filed the lawsuit in the state supreme court last week. Margaret ate the nuts September 12th and became so ill she had to be hospitalized. She felt the after-effects for several weeks. The pine nuts have sickened 42 people in 5 states. Of the 27 cases in NY, 20, were from Monroe County.
