Toll Hike Pending On The New York State Thruway

Truck drivers who use the New York State Thruway may pay a lot more for tolls. Officials with the State Thruway authority plan to hike tolls for trucks by 45-percent, because of the damages inflicted on roadways by massive tractor trailers. The governor says he's also looking at hiking tolls on cars, but if he does, it wouldn't happen till after the summer. There's no word on how much yet. Tolls were last raised in 2010.
