Time Magazine Editor Questions The Source of the Bible
04.06.11 |
A statement made by a Time Magazine editor on National T.V. this week questions the authenticity of the Bible. Time magazine world editor Bobby Ghosh said that the Muslim Koran is "directly the word of God," but the Bible is "just a book written by man."
This is a clip from the video.
The story is popping up on Christian news commentary sites all over the web. One editorial, by blogger Warner Todd Huston, called it a "cultural suicide", where western media assumes all Muslims are blameless-- and all Americans are at fault in a clash of civilizations between Islam and the West. He said Ghosh assumes Christians see the Bible as some storybook written by men. He said Christians believe the word was inspired by God. He also argued there is no proof that the Koran was written any time closer then 100 years after Mohammad's death, long after anyone who would have known him would have been dead. He said the New Testament is a series of first-person accounts.
