Governor Wolf is threatening to impose a spending freeze on Harrisburg in the midst of the chronically unbalanced state budget.

The governor, who spoke to reporters in Jim Thorpe yesterday, is in the midst of a four-day, 14-county listening tour of the Northern Tier.

Because of the budget battle in Harrisburg, the commonwealth's credit rating has been downgraded.

The governor warns that will result in higher taxes for Pennsylvania residents at the local, county, and state level.
