The Miracle Worker
02.15.11 |

Family Life will stage nine performances of The Miracle Worker - a powerful portrayal of Helen Keller’s childhood struggles and triumphs. The shows will run March 10-13, and March 16-19, at Family Life in Bath.
Adapted from Helen Keller's autobiography The Story of My Life, the play centers on the remarkable yet hostile relationship between Helen Keller and her teacher, Annie Sullivan, as the isolated Helen learns to overcome limitations of living in her dark, soundless world. Unable to communicate, Helen's violent and spoiled behavior tests the young Annie Sullivan as she works to rescue the mind and spirit of a child trapped by affliction.
With scenes of intense physical and emotional energy, Annie's success with Helen finally comes with the utterance of a single, glorious word.
