Temple University Cuts Standadized Test Requirements

The Philadelphia school will become the first public research university in the northeastern U.S. to drop the requirement that applicants submit an SAT or ACT score, starting in fall 2015. In a release announcing the decision, Temple's President said students may still submit SAT and ACT scores with their applications, but emphasized that the university wants to provide access for "talented students who don't perform well on standardized tests."
