Teen Who Created "Note To God" App Struck By Hit And Run Driver
03.25.11 |
A teenager who created an application for the iphone that allows users to send prayers and read prayers by others has been critically injured in a hit-and-run accident. 18-year-old Allen Wright opened his eyes for the first time on Monday, and responded to commands on Tuesday. Doctors say his recovery is remarkable-- they had given him a 30 percent chance of living. He was walking on a street in California when he was hit by a driver that took off. Police are hoping surveillance video will give them some clues as to who is responsible. Wright had been in a coma for 8 days. Doctors say he's still not in the safe zone, though, he shakes uncontrollably and has seizures. Wright's 2009 app "Note to God" has been downloaded more than 9,000 times in the last week. He wrote it when he was just 16 years old.
