01.21.11 |
There's a new M.T.V. series that has 42 references of drugs and alcohol in the first episode. But a parent's group is fighting back to get it off the air. Now, the Parent's T.V. Counsel has appealed to the Department of Justice and the U.S. Senate and the House Judiciary Committees-- to open an investigation into the show "Skins." They believe it also violates pornography laws, with some cast members as young as 15 years old. M.T.V. issued a statement saying the show addresses real world issues confronting teens in a frank way. They say they are complying with all the laws and have alerted viewers to the content. The Parents T.V. Counsel is calling the show "the most dangerous program ever... for children."
