Talks went into the night last night for faculty members at 14 state run universities in Pennsylvania

We are now five days away from hundreds of professors walking off the job. They have been without a contract since 2014.

A strike would affect tens of thousands of college students across the Keystone State.

A spokesman for the state system of higher education said the goal is to keep schools open in any way they can.  Students will be required to go to class, even if a teacher is not there.

Negotiations will continue through the weekend.
