Survey: Bible Memorization Keeps Kids Faithful

A Christian network of church-based clubs that challenge kids to memorize Bible verses says its graduates are keeping the faith. Jack Eggar, the president of Awana International, commissioned a survey adults who spent at least 6 years in Awana when they were growing up.

The study showed that 90-percent of those surveyed remained "faithful in church and are still active in their faith -- even sharing Christ with others." Eggar says Awana not only helps kids learn the bible, but it also helps them become "outward" focused in their approach toward evangelism.
