An educated wife can mean a longer life for a man. Researchers say a man living with a woman without a high school education is 25-percent more likely to die within a decade than a man living with a college graduate. The Swedish Institute for Social Research scientists theorize a better-educated wife makes for a healthier household. They pointed out that a more-educated woman might be more aware of the importance of sound nutrition. The scientists think their findings expand what's known about how the choice of life partner influences a person's chance of dying early. It has already been shown that living with a partner reduces a person's risk of an earlier death.
