There's a new study that shows babies need close-up facetime with their parents to learn how to talk. The researchers found newborns spent a lot of time looking directly into the eyes of those holding them. Then at 6 months old, the babies switched to watching lips and mouth movements, as a way of learning how to sound out words themself.
