Students at PA public universities will see expanded course options

The day is coming when students enrolling in one of Pennsylvania's 14 public universities will be able to take any one of the more than 11,000 courses offered at any of the universities in the state system.

The system's board has approved an aggressive plan to begin transforming itself to operate on a multi-university regional or statewide basis.

This comes as the system welcomes a new chancellor, 58-year-old Daniel Greenstein.

He's the former leader with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the University of California system.
