The Senate is expected to approve legislation this week that ends some trade and travel sanctions against Cuba. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says provisions in the 410-billion dollar budget package will likely pass senate vote on Friday.

It would permit Americans with relatives in Cuba to visit more frequently, stay longer and send more money to family there. Reid says the legislation does not end the trade embargo but does move toward President Obama's position of relaxing sanctions against Cuba.
