100,000 fans have flocked to Watkins Glen for upstate New York's premiere sporting event.

Schuyler County Sheriff Bill Yessmann says several recent high-profile international terrorist attacks has him on heightened alert for Sunday's NASCAR race at "the Glen."

Yessmann is in charge of protecting the fans at the track this weekend.
He says you'll notice many cops around the grandstands.

Extra security cameras have been installed and bomb-sniffing dogs are being employed to assist police this weekend at Watkins Glen.
