Sandy Threatens East Coast

Hurricane Sandy is heading toward Florida after making landfall overnight near Cuba's second largest city. Sandy came ashore as a Category 2 storm with 110-mile-an-hour winds.  The storm is headed north and Florida residents are being warned of severe weather in the coming days. Tropical storm warnings have already been posted for much of the Florida coastline as the storm weakens. Sandy still has the potential to do serious damage if it reaches the U.S. mainland. The storm is blamed for killing at least two people in the Caribbean on Wednesday as it made landfall in Kingston, Jamaica.
