SALSA Christmas Celebration

BioDebbieFSALSA (Salt And Light Single Adults) provided an evening of ministry to single adults with a special focus on the Peace that entered our world and our hearts that first Christmas.

Family Life's SALSA singles gathered at the Nite Lite Gospel House for a Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 6. Trudi Cook, SALSA  Leadership Team member and coordinator of the event, reported that,  " We had a great time Saturday night with close to 60 in attendance.  Chris Keir of Belmont did a nice job of leading the group in Christmas carol singing for about half an hour, after which his wife Annie gave a devotional message that explored the real meaning of Peace and how to have it in your life.  Many brought delicious snacks to share, and there was a warm and friendly Christmas spirit in the air." One of the highlights of the evening was a "wacky" gift exchange where an array of wrapped gifts were passed left and right as a story was read. All the gifts were provided by FamilyLife and the SALSA ministry and when the story was finished, everyone had in their hands, a special gift. Trudi said, " It was heartwarming to hear responses to some of the gifts...as people accepted their gifts - as from the Lord." One lady in particular who received a SALSA flashlight, thankfully declared, "This is just what I needed!"
