Tareq and Michaele Salahi, who crashed the White House State Dinner last week, are scheduled to testify Thursday during a Senate hearing on the breach of security the incident exposed. Democratic Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton of Washington, DC will chair the hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee and is expected to grill the Salahis for what she called the first consequential security breach since 9-11. Norton isn't hiding her feelings about the couple, either. She called the Salahis, quote, "worthless as celebrities." She said in the Salahis' search for that unearned celebrity, they have pioneered a new technique that could be taken up by terrorists and others intent on doing harm to the president. Norton also said she believes the Secret Services has learned a valuable lesson. Norton said, quote, "The early apology and assumption of complete responsibility by Director Mark Sullivan shows that they have learned their lesson."
