Republican Party leaders in Monroe, Livingston, and Steuben counties in western New York will pick a candidate tonight to run in November for the 133rd Assembly District

This, after the bizarre primary win last night of a dead lawmaker.

Bill Nojay secured more than 60% of the vote, despite committing suicide five days ago.

Nojay's opponent, the mayor of Honeoye Falls, Richard Milne says he's devastated by the results of last nights' vote and hopes the party leaders will still pick him.

Nojay shot himself in a cemetery last week.

He was facing federal fraud charges.

A funeral service for the late lawmaker will happen this Friday.
