Not-for-profit agencies serving people with developmental disabilities will host rallies in Rochester, Buffalo, Long Island and New York City today.

The groups banded together to promote Governor Cuomo's $15 an hour minimum wage. They are asking state lawmakers to approve the minimum wage package so they will not have to cut jobs or services. Cuomo has proposed gradually raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour by the end of 2018 for New York City and 2021 for the rest of the state.
