Preparations Are Underway for Reagan Centennial Celebration

Next month, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation will host a four-day event to celebrate what would have been former president's one hundredth birthday. The Reagan Centennial Birthday Celebration will be held at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California from Friday, February 4th through Monday, February 7th. A tribute concert, broadcasted live online at www.reaganfoundation.org, will take place on Saturday, February 5th. The official 100th birthday celebration for the 40th President of the United States will be held on Sunday, February 6th - Reagan's actual birthday. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly renovated Reagan Museum, an official wreath laying ceremony with former First Lady Nancy Reagan, and a 21-gun cannon salute. Events will come to a close on Monday, February 7th with the renovation opening of the Ronald Reagan Museum. The late President and former actor died on June 5, 2004, at the age of 93.
