President Lincoln's Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, penned in the summer of 1862, went on display Thursday at the Roberson Museum and Science Center in Binghamton, as part of a 2-day exhibition. The exhibit is the only surviving handwritten version of the 150 year old document. One page bears an ink smudge with Lincoln's thumbprint.
