Poll: Growing Number Of Americans Lack Faith In Obama
07.13.10 |
(Washington, DC) -- The honeymoon between American voters and President Obama appears to be coming to an end. A new "Washington Post"/ABC News poll shows nearly 60-percent lack faith in the President. That's in sharp contrast to 18 months ago when Obama took office. At that time 60-percent had confidence in his decision making.
While the latest poll numbers are a new low, Republican and Democratic lawmakers fare worse. When asked if they had confidence in Democratic congressional members, 68-percent said they had "some" or "none." The poll also revealed that 62-percent are not leaning toward supporting incumbent candidates in the fall elections. Nearly 13-hundred people participated in the poll that was conducted from July 7th to the eleventh.
