Changing insurance policies before reporting a fender-bender. Working while receiving disability benefits. Lying about who was behind the wheel during a crash. These were some of the alleged crimes for which the Pennsylvania attorney general's office charged people during a statewide insurance fraud sweep.

The office of attorney general's insurance fraud section announced this week that it had filed criminal charges against 50 people during the sweep. The alleged fraud in the cases totaled more than $1.1 million.
