For the first time ever, the number of Keystone State residents 65 years and older exceeds two million.

Pennsylvania ranks fifth in the nation for the percentage of seniors within its borders.
many of them will require nursing home care at some point.

That's why a new program has been developed in the commonwealth called "PEERS," Pennsylvania Empowered Expert Residents.

It trains senior citizens on how to address concerns with their convalescent care.

the program notifies seniors of their rights and instructs them on how to air grievances effectively.
